Thanksgiving in the Virgin Islands

Thanksgiving in the Virgin Islands

Thanksgiving in the Virgin Islands is much like it is in the United States. It is a time to celebrate, give thanks, and express gratitude for family, food, and prosperity. The holiday is celebrated throughout the Caribbean especially in the US Virgin Islands. The warmth of the Caribbean and its people make the Virgin Islands a popular destination for the holiday. If you are concerned about missing out on your favorite Thanksgiving traditions, don’t be concerned as there are many options that will likely meet or exceed your expectations. You may even discover some new holiday traditions.

With a few days off over Thanksgiving, and being far from family and friends, we decided to head over to the BVI. If you’re looking for something fun to do before your Thanksgiving feast, you can head to the beach for a swim. We took a Taxi Ride from Great Harbor, Jost Van Dyke to White Bay. We did some swimming, sunning and toasting with a Soggy Dollar Painkiller.

“To get you in the Caribbean holiday spirit, rotate some reggae songs into your music mix! The notion of thanks and praise plays so prominently in reggae and many of the bars and restaurants in the BVI have live music.
So plan to spend your next Thanksgiving in the US or British Virgin Islands aboard Mango! We can prepare a Thanksgiving dinner aboard or you can chose to eat at one of the many restaurants in the islands.
Let’s head to Foxy’s for some Thanksgiving Dinnner!
